Count your blessings!

Most of us had mothers or grandmothers or someone in our lives who reminded us of that when we grumbled or complained. Turns out, they were right. Simple gratitude has been linked to joy.

Research indicates that people who count their blessings, or look at their lives with gratitude, tend to experience more joy and peace—and if Eckhart Tolle is right, more abundance, as well.

That’s why getting the GAP, where we begin to change our world by changing our thinking, starts with gratitude.

Gratitude opens the door for more good to enter our lives. If we look at our lives with gratefulness, we tend to feel better about life and that attracts even more things to feel better about. We attract more positive people, more positive situations. That’s not magic, it’s just human nature. Remember, like attracts like.

When we feel better, we get better results.

Getting in the GAP

You are an incredible person with unique skills and talents. All of us are!

Sometimes, no matter how gifted we are, life presents us with challenges. People don’t always behave the way we want them to. Circumstances don’t always turn out the way we want them to. Events don’t always unfold the way we’d like them to. We can’t control the people, the circumstances or the events in our lives, no matter how incredible we are.

What we can control is how we respond to those challenges.

Notice I said “respond” and not “react.”

Our problems start when we react instead of respond.

Most of us react to life. To change that pattern and begin responding, we begin not with what we do, but how we think.

Change starts with our thinking. Our thinking creates our life. Our thinking creates our outcomes. It creates our success.
