It was only 9:33 am – and I felt upset, angry.
What she said really upset me. How could she accuse me of that?
I kept running the “she’s wrong” conversation in my head.
The worst part – I felt stressed; how was I going to get my work done?
How could I get back to peace and productivity – in one-minute?
I could choose. I could decide that no thought, no situation could take my peace away.
First, I had to recognize that my thinking was getting in the way.
I was saying, “I am right, I don’t deserve this…” This is negative, limited thinking.
That thinking got me in this mess = more stress.
Then, to move to peace and productivity, I needed a tool.
PBS – Pause, Breathe and SMILE. This tool is your re-set button.
Pause = STOP = interrupt the negative thinking. Be here NOW. Focus on this moment, this process.
Breathe = 3-10 deep breaths. Breathing will calm you, lower stress, keep you in the moment.
Smile for 1 minute (set a timer) = reset brain to a “happy, positive” feeling. Try it now.
Keep the smile going. Think, “This is my freedom; I can choose to be positive and peaceful.”

That’s every story – every part of life – “Blah, Blah, Blah…” – one story after another.
Go tell someone an upsetting story – what just happened – but only say “Blah, Blah, Blah…”
This will free you from the melodrama – this will give you your power back.
You will both laugh – at the stories we choose to get stuck in. Your stories are not you.
Your freedom is in choosing – to be peaceful and productive = free!
