The Quick Route to Happy

How do you get happy in one minute?

Let’s focus on 2 steps – Gratitude and Goals.

Gratitude works because it focuses on what you have - the good in your life.

When you focus on what you are grateful for, when you acknowledge abundance – you feel good.

Start to notice what happens when you feel happy.

Your focus is on what you appreciate about your life, what is working.

You are thinking about the people, abundance, and positive experiences of your life.

So, what are you happy about right now?

That happiness = what you are grateful for now.

Think of 3 people and experiences you are grateful for – and mentally list them here: ____, _____, _____.

Step 2 is to focus on your goals – what you are achieving today for your future.

What is your #1 goal today – that one thing you must accomplish?

Accomplishing your most important task makes you feel successful and happy.

You feel good because you know you are doing the “right thing.”

Science says getting tasks done gives you a hit of “happy” hormones – an endorphin “feel good” kick.

That positive energy acts as a reward, it motivates you with a feeling of “I am successful.”

That “feel good” energy makes you want to take on the next challenge.

More good news – as you complete more challenging tasks you increase your confidence.

You feel happy, confident, and successful – and isn’t that what we all want?

Remember:

  1. Appreciate what you have – people, experiences, and possessions.

  2. Then decide what needs to be done next – and do it – NOW.

Enjoy your life by taking 2 steps:

Be grateful – appreciate the people, experiences, abundance you already have.

Get it done – start on your #1 task now - to experience more happiness and success.

This is how you get happy – by shifting your focus to gratitude and goals.
