Change Your Self-Talk For Success

The voice in my head was relentless.

“You are late. This never works well when you start this way.”

“I can’t believe you did this again, what were you thinking?”

As my negative thinking continued, my energy, my focus, and my motivation all dropped.

I was stuck. How could I get back to being positive, focused, and productive?

Maybe this happens to you, too.

First, notice when you are letting that “voice” (your self-talk) ruin your day.

Next, change your self-talk to kind, encouraging, affirming.

“You screwed up!” becomes “It is okay, you did your best. Try again.”

Science tells us changing our thoughts is the only way to change our actions.

Researchers say we think criticism changes our behavior for the better.

It is just the opposite, criticism depletes you.

When you feel better – you take better actions for great results.

And here is the amazing part:

When you practice being kinder to yourself, all of your relationships benefit.

You start letting yourself and others off the hook.

Then the world becomes a more pleasant, peaceful place.

Speak, think, and behave kindly to yourself and others.

You will be happier, more successful, and peaceful.

It is simple. Be kind.
